How to be a Grandma

Whenever I am tempted to get too big for my britches, thankfully, my Nana comes to mind.

Which is odd, because she always made me feel like the sun and moon rose and set just for me.

She was a grounding force in my life whose influence still holds sway, despite her death over two decades years ago.

If you’ve been lucky enough to have someone like this in your life, you know exactly what I’m talking about; and if you haven’t, I wish you the wonder of just such a someone.

She was my mother’s mother.

I had a stoic mother. A mother I butted heads with quite a bit. Of course we loved each other. Just not without collateral damage.

But her mother, my Nana, was my partner in crime.  And a character, to boot.
